Kerry Mitchell, who is of Comanche heritage, specializes in creating authentic Native American, Mountain Man, Motorcycle Clothing, Seats and Accessories. Each piece is unique and a work of art. He creates his pieces with exotic leathers, beads, bones, antler, silver, turquoise, and semi-precious stones.
Kerry has over 40 years of experience. He became interested in this craft years ago when he met the late Buck Purnel , world renown leather worker and saddle maker. Kerry originally started working for his own satisfaction but soon learned that others admired his work. As time went on, Kerry’s creations won him over 100 awards for display, art, and costuming.
Not only that but Hollywood found him! His costumes and props (spears, breastplates, and such) can be seen in “Dances with wolves”, “Grey Eagle”, “Young Guns 1 & 2”, “Silverado”, “Windwalker”, “Young Riders”, and the theatrical production of “Mary Sunshine”.
His works are also in the collections of such celebrities as Clint Eastwood, Ann Margaret, Tom Smothers, Alice Cooper, the San Francisco Giants, Crystal Gale, Glen Campbell, Cher, Bad English, Smokey Robinson, David Carridine, Patricia Arquett, Kim Novak, Ohio Player, and Princess Christina of Belgium to name a few.
